So nice to meet you!

Welcome aboard!

We are taking family FUN (and all the ups and downs of traveling with children) in the air, on the road, and by rail.

We are a family of four that loves adventure. Henri and I have incredible 8 year old twins- Elizabeth (Elsie) and Oliver (Ollie). Like so many families, we feel unsettled in our frantic lives because of busy careers and our desire to never miss a moment with our kids.

Henri and I loved to travel before we had children. It's been our dream to do so again as a family. We are taking control of our lives and planning a year of travel through Europe!

This crazy plan required a lot of thought and planning.  Visit and subscribe to our blog to read about the process.  We can’t wait to share our travel stories starting in May 2022!

Ollie

Our adventurous and fearless boy keeps us on our toes.   He loves hockey and soccer and teasing his sister.   Despite his fierce exterior, he is a cuddle-bug and his twin sister's greatest fan.

Elsie

Unicorns are real!  We are certain because of our baby girl.   She is one-of-a-kind in every way -an artist with an imagination beyond belief.  She is also much tougher than she looks (a critical quality with a twin brother like Ollie).

Stephanie

"Fun's over.  Put your helmets on!  Mom's home" is what Henri and the kids jokingly yell when I get home from work.

I faintly remember a time when I didn't worry so much.   But years of working in a Level 1 trauma center have changed me.  I look forward to a break from preparing for the worst.  Before I was an anesthesiologist and a Mom, I was a snowboard-bum and a world traveler.   I'm finding my way back to that former self-but in the meantime, PUT YOUR HELMETS ON!!

Henri

Our family's rock.

Henri is the ultimate Dad and husband.  He is definitely the fun one.   Never too tired to play with the kids and always dreaming big for our family, Henri is tirelessly optimistic.

His international childhood inspired this crazy gap year in the first place (but if you ask him, he will say it was all my idea!).

I can't wait to experience all that he has planned for us in the next year (actually, I'm sort of terrified).
