Our tagline, "FAMILY FUNISHMENT", is meant to be playful. We consider our role as parents a privilege and not punishment. Every night I tell Elsie and Ollie, "the best thing I have done in my whole life is to be your mom." I mean that sincerely. My life has been blessed with support, access to excellent education, and adventure; but motherhood has surpassed all of it in love and joy.
I suspect most parents experience (and most will admit) time with their children that isn't as idyllic as their unconditional love. Henri and I cherish the time we spend as a family and organize educational and adventurous outings whenever possible. Despite our best efforts, some family outings are fraught with MISadventures, especially when our twins were younger. Those memories are most vivid because of the unexpected but often felt like punishment instead of pleasure.We have decided to approach parenthood with humor and welcome FAMILY FUNISHMENT in all forms!
